Changes to Server Pricing for atlassian and addons

We are adjusting our pricing for Atlassian Server products and Atlassian Server add-ons on October 12th, 2018. This increase is to ensure that we can create the greatest value possible for you and your team by continuing to invest in R&D across our product line.

This FAQ contains the most frequently asked questions relating to the upcoming price changes. If you would like to talk to us directly, please contact our support team.

1. What prices are changing on October 12th, 2018?

All prices for Atlassian Server products and Atlassian Server add-ons are changing on the 12th of October, 2018. The only exclusions are Fisheye and Crucible Server.

2. Why are you increasing the price of Atlassian's Server products?

The increase to the price of our Server products is to ensure that we can create the greatest value possible for you and your team by continuing to invest in R&D across our product line.

3. Are the prices of Atlassian's Cloud products increasing?

Yes. Pricing changes for select Atlassian Cloud products will be increasing on the same date as the Server increase.

4. Are the prices of Atlassian's Data Center products increasing?

No, the prices of Data Center products are staying the same.

5. Is the price of Atlassian Stack increasing?

No, the price of Atlassian Stack is staying the same.

6. Are the prices of Atlassian Enterprise License agreements increasing?

No, the prices of Atlassian Enterprise License agreements are staying the same.

7. If I don't renew my Server license right now and return to it at a later date, will I have to pay the new price?

Yes. If you decide to defer maintenance, and renew at a later date, you will be subject to the new pricing.

8. If I already have a quote with the old pricing, will you still honor it?

Yes, we'll honor all quotes with the previous pricing until the quote expiration date.

Fresh look and feel: We've updated Jira's look and feel, with a refreshed color palette, fonts, and iconography for the most frequently used views.
Shared edit rights for filters and dashboards: teams can add or change members of filters and dashboards seamlessly.
Improved email notifications: Help everyone give their email inbox a break with improved email notification settings that Jira's end users can set themselves.
Create Jira issues in Bitbucket: Developers can now create issues directly in Bitbucket and better stay in the context of what they're working on.
Search by development status: Jira's tickets are even more valuable when they're enriched with information from development tools like Bitbucket, so we’ve introduced the ability to search based on development status - like "In Review", "Merged", and more.
Improvements to project and custom field lists in the administrator view: it's now easier for administrators to see key information in Jira, to make it easier to maintain or clean up Jira over time.
Faster Kanban boards: go from backlog to done even faster, with improved performance for Kanban boards.

What shipped in Jira Service Desk this year?

Automated approvals: Automated steps in the 'approval workflow' steps based on preset conditions, removing redundant tasks from agents’ workload.
Advanced approvals: Agents can work more quickly with improved agent visibility for tickets involving approval steps and notifications for agents to take action on approvals directly from their email.
Priorities per project: Added the ability for admins to assign priority schemes per project so they can be purpose-built for different team workflows.

App diagnostics: Alerts and logs for admins to discover performance issues resulting from an app or custom script.

Improved license utilization: By specifying the groups per product that each user should be added to after successfully authenticating, you can improve the utilization of your licenses and ensure you are limiting the number of wasted licenses.
